6 weeks today...

Ryan and I were so surprised that Mary McRae is 6 weeks old today. We have had a great time with her and are loving her every minute. We have been very busy and are getting ready for the summer. Mary McRae is holding her head up so well for now and we know that she is getting stronger every day. She is loving her tummy time (believe it or not), we are working on that outside in the yard (in the shade) so that she has more to look at. She is more alert and staying awake for 2 hours or so and then going down for nap. For her mother, she is only waking up once a night to eat and I am getting some rest. Mary McRae is eating well and we had a weight check on Tuesday and she is 11 lbs. 9 oz. so our child is eating great. Mary McRae has kept her blue eyes and not sure when we think, if we think, they will change, but I think they are going to stay blue. We are getting into a routine but not on a schedule yet. Mary McRae and I are walking in the morning during her morning nap, then we play after she gets up, we then both eat lunch, play outside. In the afternoon, we are playing on the floor and she loves to watch the dogs, we are working in the bumbo chair and she loves getting up off the floor.
Mary McRae is doing great and we can't wait to introduce her to all of you!!!

First day at the park

Mary McRae and I had our first play date at the park yesterday with our friends Lauren and Maggie. We love to hang out with Maggie and Lauren, they make us feel special and we always have a great time. We had lunch first and then went to the park, the weather was great and Mary McRae had a tent so that she would not get toooo much sun. She loved it and enjoyed the day with the breeze. Maggie had a great time playing with me and Mary McRae. She is so funny!!! Here are some pictures...

5 Weeks today and our 1 month check up.....

Today is our 5 week old birthday and it was our 1 month check up at the doctor. She did great. She really did not like being picked on and she had to have a shot but we are doing good and I am letting her sleep as long as she wants. Mary McRae is doing great. The doctor said that everything looks great and she is hitting all her milestones. Her weight wa 11 lbs. and she was 22 3/4 inches which is the 95th percentile for each. Ryan and I are so proud of her and love her so much. Here is a picture of her today

Froggy pajamas

I got Mary McRae these froggy pajamas and they are so cute with the feet in them. Just wanted to show you the pictures.

One Month Old...

Ryan and I were talking last night that we can not believe how fast the time has gone and can not believe that she is a month old. WOW, doesn't the time fly. Mary McRae is doing great, she is making great eye contact, tracking people, (last night she watched Ryan walk from one side of the room to the other), coooing and talking like she is suppose to. Mary McRae is eating great and loves her mealtimes, she is sleeping well just not in her bed. She loves to sleep on her mommy's chest, she will sleep in her bed during the day and for some of the night but not for all of it. She is holding her head up with lots of strength but still working on totally stable. Mary McRae is so sweet when she is being good and when she gets mad, WOW, look out, she got a little bit of her mother's temper, which will probably come in handy down the road.

I bought this clay molding kit to make an imprint of her hands and feet at a month old and we are going to do that today. I will post some pictures because I am sure that she will not love it.

We love her and are enjoying her so much. I will post some more pictures this week.

New Favorite Song

I was driving today in the car and listening to the radio and this song came on that I started crying. It was so good and completely describes what Ryan and I are going through right now. I have put in on the playlist if you want to hear it. It is called "It won't be like this for long." by Darius Rucker (the lead singer from Hootie and the Blowfish). Listen to it, its so good.

4 weeks ago today

At this time 4 weeks ago, we were just at the hospital and I was having Mary McRae and I can not believe that it has been 4 weeks already. We go for her month appointment next week and I just am having a hard time that she has been in our family for that long. I feel like she has been here forever and then it seems like just yesterday that she was born. Here are some pictures to see how much she has changed already.
She wasn't born until 7:25 a.m. so if you are reading this earlier then call us because we are playing!!!

Our First Bath...

Mary McRae had her first real bath tonight and she loved it, she was a little apprehensive when I put her in the water but after about 30 seconds she realized that she loved it. Mary McRae did great with her face, hair and body. Here are a few pictures to show you how big our girl is.
