Much needed attention

These babies needed some attention on the blog, so here you go, they are adjusting and doing well.

Doctor's visit

So this morning we had our 2 month appt and Mary McRae had to get some shots :(
She did well and is sleeping for now. She was a champ, the nurse was so fast and by the time Mary McRae realized what was going on, the shots were over. Mary McRae is doing great and showed her personality to the doctor which I love, the doctor had great things to say about her and her development and we are progressing right on track if not a little ahead of the game.

Mary McRae weighed in at 13 lbs. 4 oz. and 23 1/2 inches long
She was 90th percentile in height and 95th percentile in weight. We are doing great and loving her more and more everyday!!

I will post more pictures this weekend, hopefully it will be pretty and we can go to the park or something with Ryan and the dogs.

10 weeks old today!!

I can not believe it, Mary McRae is 10 weeks old today and doing great. We are going to the doctor this morning and I will post her weight, height, etc later. Ryan and I are in love with this baby so much and we can't believe how big she is getting. Her personality just gets better and better and she is just laughing and talking so much. I am trying to figure out how to post some video so that you all can see her talking but no success yet. Pray for my baby today as we go for some shots today.

Friend visit!!

My sweet friend Sarah came to visit Mary McRae last week and we are so glad that she did, I can't wait to see her again.

Memorial Day Weekend

This past weekend we went to the Lake with my family and Ryan's family and we had a great time. I did not do a good job of taking pictures because the weather was so ugly. I only took a few because we weren't doing anything that we don't do at home but here are a few!!

I was a skeptic....

I told Ryan that I didn't think that Kris Allen would win, I for sure thought that Adam Lambert was a shoe in but Kris won and I switched my songs this morning because I loved the song that Kris Allen sang with Keith Urban. I thought he looked like he was having so much fun and truly looked natural on the stage. I really like Adam and I wish him well.
I told Ryan that at the very end of America Idol, Kris hugged his wife and it was the sweetest embrace, I wish them well and I know they are going to do great.

Sweet Friends Visit!!

My friend Sarah had her sweet Maggie baby 3 days before Mary McRae and she was a few weeks too early and had to stay in the NICU for 6 weeks but Maggie is doing great and gaining her weight. Sarah had to come to Birmingham and they came over for a visit. Here are girls sitting together. We hope they come back and visit soon!!

New Toy!!!

When Mary McRae started holding her head up almost independently, I had Ryan put the exersaucer together and I wanted to show you some pictures of her in it. She does not love it yet but I think its a little overwhelming for her. We will get there

2 months old today!!!

Mary McRae is 2 months old today!!! Ryan and I are in amazement that it has been that long and we can't believe how big she is getting and how much she is developing. Mary McRae is almost able to hold her head up on her own, she is able to sit with her head up and just bobbles a little. She is talking up a storm, she will talk back and forth with us when we talk to her. She is loving her tummy time, she enjoys it when I put fun toys or have the dogs play in front of her. Mary McRae is still breastfeeding but is taking a bottle great. She has been on her first road trip to Jackson to visit her Lolly and Pops and Maureen and Michael. (And a lot of the rest of the family). Mary McRae has outgrown some clothes and PJ's which is very sad to me. We go to the pediatrician next week for our shots and 2 month checkup and will get stats next week, pray for us as we get our shots, I know they are going to hurt her :(
We would love to have visitors whenever, I do not have to go back to work until August!!

8 weeks today!!

Our little girl is 8 weeks today and I actually cried because she is getting so big and I don't mean just from the breast milk. She is really getting so big and doing more and we are just loving her every day. I do not have pictures tonight, (trying to get some monogramming done) but I will post tomorrow.

Happy Mother's Day!!

This is my first mother's day and it was very emotional and so surreal. I do not feel like a mother but I am. I wanted to wish all of you that are Mother's a very happy day and I look forward to many more happy days like this.

Weekend in Jackson

Ryan and I went to Jackson this weekend to visit his family and we had a wonderful time. Mary McRae was so good and did so well the entire weekend. She loved visiting her Lolly, Pops, Uncle Michael, and Aunt Maureen. We also got to see some of Ryan's family on the Farrell side on Sunday. Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

Yesterday!!

I forgot to post but our baby girl was 7 weeks old yesterday and we are loving her more and more. She is talking to us and so alert, she loves her daddy and is thankful for her mom. We are looking forward to Mother's Day this weekend. I can't believe that I have a baby and I am a mother but it is the best thing that I have ever done.

Some new pictures

Mary McRae has some new pictures and she is smiling, laughing, crying and catching a glimpse of the TV. I usually have the TV on while we are playing, sleeping, etc; however, we are going to have to start turning it off because she is watching it. I do not want her to be a TV junkie already. She needs to start enjoying her books more.

Rain, Rain, Go Away, Come again another day....

Mary McRae and I have been enjoying our morning walks and she gets her first nap in while I try and work off some of this baby weight. This morning we got rained on and we would like to be able to finish. I know that we need the rain but I would like to walk with this sweet baby girl.

So proud of this baby!!!!

Mary McRae has been doing really well at night and waking up only once to feed, her stomach is getting really big and she is gaining weight. She has been fighting her sleep until about 8:00 or 9:00 at night and now I know why. She wants to go down later because she wants to sleep longer!!
Last night Mary McRae slept from 10:00 until 4:00 which is so great for her mom, I was able to sleep and get my rest and she is doing great. Just a little bragging on my sweet baby girl!!!
